I'm a light skin African American female. I not here to offend anyone. If two light skin African American one male and one female both had nappy hair and the male leaves his hair nappy and the female straightens her hair which makes it natrual can they have a baby with straight hair. I'm not obses I'm just curious. *Please give me real answers. Thanks hope you have a wonderful day :) !

sorry sweeetie, a perm is chemical. your hair is still nappy you just bet the naps into submission. its like chopping a mother mouse's tail off ,the mouse baby will have a tail. most black folks with "good " hair had parents with" bad " hair so it is like the luck of the draw. my brother had straight hair until his first hair cut then nap- city.

I don't think your baby will have straight hair...you pass on what you are born with...but there is always the possibility of you child inhariting genes of you past..so if there are any family with straight hair he or she may get that,.

No its all about the genes. If someone in either you guys family has straight natural hair then the baby might have straight hair.
Kind of works like this,
If you are having a:
Boy- Hair will be like the males on the mother side of the family.
Girl - Would be like the females on the father side of the family.

What you to do your hair after the fact is not going to affect the kind of hair your baby will have. There's actually a 'law' for this...but it's in my psych book and it's out in my car right now.

how can straighting your hair make it natural? that doesnt sound right. anyways, the baby hair will be like all other black babies hair, curly. putting in a relaxer is a chemical alteration to your hair not your genes.

It does not matter what you do to your hair during life, what you are born with determines hair.
