I'm a fourteen year old african-american female and I'd like to highlight my hair. I use a relaxer on my hair and my hair was shedding not too long ago, but it's growing back.
Do I need to wait to highlight my hair? If I do, how long do I need to wait?

i dont think you need to wait....if you get your hair highlighted i would make sure you go to a professional and not just get box dye, that way they will be able to tell if you hair can handle the dye/bleach or not.

Never. Dye is so bad for black hair! Or at least wait till you're over 18. You'll jack it up now. Dye is killer to black hair..I know!

well if u put dye in ur hair now its goin to further damage it. wait another month til it growning healthy and strong then start with jazz ( a temp color) u dont wanna use anything really harsh to start put u can put the jazz on ur ends now if u like but i wont suggest full head over high lights until its healty and strong
