You need Hair Milk by Carol's Daughter. It works like a charm for mosturizing and keeping curls.

My hair is the exact same way and this product as well as all of her others works great

wow, that is exactly how mu hair is. curly when wet and a bog fro when dry. anywho. . . you don't have to use chemicals to get tight curls. find a shop that does a straw set, they wrap your hair around straws, you can choose the size, and you get tight curls after you sit under the dryer. I don't know exactly what they put on the hair to get the curls to stay, but you should look into it. skinnier straws = tighter curls.

There are curtain rollers that specify in that. that will save you money from going to the shop. When you wash your hair these curlers are sponge type and long. you wrap it up ward and spritz. You set under a dryer until your hair is dry because if you air dry it will frizz up. They have ouch less ones for the daughter!

By adding a hair oil hair creme or hair lotion to your hair.

Go and get a straw curls done. It takes a while to get it done because the roll your hair with plastic straws and when it is done you have the tightest curls that last. I don't know if your daughter can sit that long.
