Seriously? Not only can they, multitudes are Pentecostal. And Pentecostal doesn't necessarily mean "long skirts, long hair". Not all Pentecostals believe that way.

Uhhh I think there is a law against it somewhere, isn't it? Wasn't there a case in court, of a bunch of African Americans being forced to pay heavy fines, and some getting prison sentences because they had joined the Pentecostal church?

i know of many races that protray modesty as if its sacred.

The reason the Apostle Paul mentioned about the hair thing (no mention of long dresses by the way) was that Christians should not take on even the remote appearance of temple prostitutes. The Male Prostitutes had long hair (and were bi-sexual).., the female temple prostitutes had shown hair and were bisexual.

In todays society - not that homosexuality is symbolized by hair, in the general spectrum of things, gay women have short hair, and well.., a Christian should not wear their hair in a "butch" fashion.., not so much short, but avoid the styles of the wicked. We are supposed to be set apart.

As far as women not being able to grow long hair, holding that against them is a sin in itself and a shame. The woman who cant grow long hair does not even need to ask for forgiveness for something that is biologically beyond her control.., and if we use even the attitude of "I forgive you sister because you cant grow long hair".., thats worse than those two traitor friends of Job.

People who hold that against a woman will not receive forgiveness (unless they repent) because they have judged wrongly in a matter that is non of their concern, condemning people like that makes them stumble and fall. I mean I knew a lady who attended such a church became a convert, she had short hair but fully intended to grow it long. BUT - the sisters in the Church kept telling her over and over "Your hair is a mockery to God...". The poor lady out of desperation purchased a wig and they ragged on her about that! She quit Church and these so called saints - felt really smug that they drove Satanette out of their presence. What these so called Christian ladies did..., THATS EVIL!! Cold Blooded Heartless Evil!!

Personally (no religious beliefs involved on this) I think a woman looks much more appealing with long hair. But if she cant grow it long - I certainly am not going to freak.
