I'm a little lost on what colors to consider for a dress for my formal dance in May, and what sort of dress to go for. I'm not a fan of bright colors, I'm more into darker colors and pastels maybe. I'm African-American (sort of a cocoaish color) with black hair and dark brown eyes, petite-ish, average bust, small waist, athletic legs sort of. Any advice, opinions, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!!!

hm, so you like pastels? personally, i think yellows look great on African-American skin! but then there's pastel pink, yellow, blue, etc. just go to the mall and try on every single dress in the store =] it would be fun, and maybe you'll find a "new" color for you.
