Well first she should go to black hairstylist and speak with them about what she can do. Sally's Beauty Supply has a very nice stock of hair products of Black women. Also depending on how old she just may need to go through a trial and error period with her hair. Try out different things to see how her hair responds to different products and tools. For example, my friend can flat iron her hair everytime she washes it and its ok for her hair. I, on the otherhand can't do that. A flat iron can be too much heat and too intense for my hair causing it to break, so I prefer to roll and set it. It all depends on your grade of hair, with black women.

also tell her to go to her local hair supply store and ask the owner for her type of hair..the owners usually know what is best also the workers.
