try conditioner, like the spray in type

- You need to tie your hair up at night with a satin scarf or use a satin pillow case... The reason for that is because the cotton from your pillow cases can suck all of the moisture out of your hair, cause it to become brittle and break.

- Wash your hair every week, and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS use leave in conditioner, it'll help your hair retain moisture which it needs. Lack of moisture will cause your hair to break.

- Let your hair AIR DRY! Letting your hair air dry, will reduce the damage done to your air. Too much heat can dry your hair out and cause it to break.

- Moisturize DAILY! I moisturize my hair, once in the morning and again before bed, mainly focusing on the ends. Try not to get products that contain mineral oil or petroleum... It you do, don't use it on your scalp and use it sparingly.

- Deep condition WEEKLY... Some say once a month, but I do so weekly because it helps retain moisture.

- Do a hot oil treatment every 2 weeks

Also, when you press your hair, use heat protection spray or serum on your ends to minimize the damage.

do you know what caused it to break off? How do you wrap your hair at night? If you put the knot of your scarf in the back of your hair that may be the reason.
