i'm african american and i have very brittle and dry hair. i need tips on products, relaxers, the whole nine yards. maybe even a hair care rountine...i need help seriously!!! serious people only thanks.

well today is your lucky day, because my hair used to be just like yours,

OPTION A:

1. dr. miracle hair relaxer (it isn't cheap) it works

2. Herbal essences-- shampoo and conditioner (i know it sound like for white girls) makes your hair soft and manageable

3. doo gro-- hair grease (not chunky) really grows

4. Wash your hair like once every week (your black) dont need everyday

OPTION B:

try clipping your ends then get micro braids and keep them in for about 3 months then wash your hair after you take them out and wear it natural for about 2 weeks then relax it, you will see a difference

Try sunsilk smooth and sleek. i use the conditioner too and it does actually make my hair softer and straighter. =D hope it helps!

Also.. you could try different kinds of serums for your hair which stop you from getting dry and split ends. It might help. If you cannot find anything then you should pop into a chemist and ask for professional help.. they should be able to give you some more info! =D

Wash it regularly with good shampoo and conditioners for her it should be smooth in no time. And shave armpit hairs it smells horrible.

I can't answer for African American hair specifically, but most hair needs conditioning to keep it from breaking. If I were you I would try to find a salon that knows about African American hair and then ask them for suggestions. If money is an issue (I always cringe at the prices in salons) try to get the information and then you can probably find the products at a Salon products outlet store and sometimes that stuff is available at Walmart and such.

hey girl, try olive oil pdt%26lt;the whole set including its treatments%26gt; if you dont have thick texture. but if thick, use dark and loving%26lt;super%26gt; for 2-3yrs this to soften ur texture,thereafer, use oliveoil bc its mild for softhair.

pdt your after evry 3mouths.

treat your hair after evry 3weeks if your braid but if you dont 2weeks.

NB take it serious, b4 u braid style your hair this makes it soft and doesnot break when braided or even when u loosen your braid.

also apply much oil on your hair%26lt;preferably, olive hair oil or supergro%26gt;. ie your hair shld all clock moist prevents it from breaking durning combing.

if the above is followed without biased i promised you cut hair dead ends jus yearly or after 2years.
